Rintea 100 Speed Rechargeable Desk Fan Review
This attractive fan is unlike any I have tried before, although it does seem to be widely available from a range of online stores now. Prices vary but this one cost me just a shade under £20, discounted from £29.99.
In the box, I received the fan itself, a short charging cable and a well printed, easy to read but rather unnecessary user guide. Although all plastic, the build quality seems fine and the fan has quite a hefty, substantial feel to it.
The appeal of the fan has to be in the design. It looks chunky and minimalist with a large and impressive LED status display screen in the centre. This screen shows the current fan speed and battery status and is large, bright and easy to see but annoyingly cannot be turned off when the fan is in use. The fan sits on a well balanced and hefty stand and aslthough it does not rotate, it can be swivelled 105° forweards and back. On the underside of the base are two slots for wall mounting.
The fan features a 4000 mAh battery, charged through the USB-C port on the rear, with a 3.5 hour charge giving between 6 and 20 hours of use depending on the fan level selected.
Operation could not be simpler with three buttons at the centre of the base, one for power and the others for fan speed. When in use the display shows the current selected speed and the speed range ( "The Breeze" which is from 0-30, "Strong Winds" from 31-60 and finally 61-100 "The Storm"). When plugged in the display shows the current battery level along with a small green charging icon. When used on battery power the icon appears red when the battery levels to about 10%.
The fan is powerful, although by no means the most powerful I have encountered, but it is one of the quietest for the power it does produce, emitting just just 35dB of fan noise at 100% output. It would be perfect for bedtime use if there was some way of switching off the screen display.
If you need a stylish and attractive fan with an almost silent operation, then this would be a great buy.

Is “The Lord of the Rings” Only for Boys? Let’s Interview an Actual Girl Fan
A child in my household once said she didn’t like The Lord of the Rings because it’s “for boys.” Well I happen to know some girls who also like the story (and other things Tolkien to boot), and here I interview one whom you probably know but might not recognize at first about this question.

House is a rockin (Stevie Ray Vaughan)
From our July 4th Party. It showed how me taking 5 months off for medical reasons really made a difference on my playing and singing. So happy to be back at it!
