This was a weirdly good year to be an EP 11 ED. Finally get to show what are easily the top 3 songs of the year. A both incredibly small and dismal year for movie songs. Even the COVID-affected 2020 dwarfed this year's count. I think a lot of it is the complete decline of OVAs, you can literally count the amount of OVAs with songs in them on one hand this year. While the top 4 are great, there is an extreme drop-off after than with 8th already being below an 8.5. This was actually a pretty strong year, I think things that would have made my top 20 last year didn't even make my top 30 this year. Reminder that things I look for in a visual that help it stand out are: Widescreen, callbacks to previous OP/ED of the series, interesting use of credits/integrated credits, integrated lyrics, camera spins, interesting camera angles (think smartphone shots, first person POV), cool color/art schemes, synching really well with the song, minimal use of color, the color pink, and well animated dances apparently. The name at the top is the director of each of the OP/ED in the list with the one exception of number 12, because I felt like while Yoshie Kita is the director of it, the heavy lifting is done by the other two with how their names were credited above Kita and in a much bigger font. Notes: Link Click II actually had a Japanese airing back in Spring using the original Chinese songs.
