Not a review but a safety tip about LIPO batteries, why they Puff up and what to do about it. 1/ Are Puffed up LIPO batteries dangerous, Short answer YES. There are many examples of these batteries starting fires, not so much in the vaping world but in the model aircraft and hobby world. 2/ So why do LIPO batteries puff up, The normal gas generation in a lithium ion battery. This gas is generated through the process of electrolyte decomposition. These batteries are made up of three things, the Anode, the cathode and the electrolyte. Electrolyte is the chemical that allows charged ions to flow from the anode to the cathode when discharging and vice versa when charging. Electrolyte decomposition happens when the electrolyte chemical itself starts to break down and starts to form lithium oxide on the anode or cathode. 3/ Fix, Short answer you can not fix. Don't try to fix Is it worth endangering yourself or burning your house down to save a few quid. LIPO batteries are cheap. Just replace it. Please discharge a damaged battery in full and dispose of it at a battery recycling plant that will take LIPO batteries. Do Not put them in your domestic rubbish bin. Tips Heat kills LIPO batteries and as vapers we generate a lot of heat that makes its way to the battery. Keep an eye on the condition of the LIPO battery your using and inspect it often. Charge properly and safely. Do Not over discharge as this will speed up the decomposition. Misused LIPO batteries don't last long. So today Feelm launch their new coil tech the thinnest out there in closed pod systems. The new coil is 40 times thinner than the last generation of coils from Feelm. The 7 layer coil is only 2UM, 2 Micron's or if you like 2 micrometers thick 0.002mm. The new coil is very energy efficient and vaporises the liquid at a lower temp to stop some of the nasties being produced. This should help with the long term argument about emissions from e-liquid. The vape itself is quite cool but the flavour produced is very good. We may see these devices on sale here in the UK at some point but we will see the coils used in many of the established brands that sell their devices here in the UK. So today I jump back to the Lostvape UB Pro Tank that came with the Thelema Quest Kit. At the time I purchased the UB Pro Tank RBA and this is what we are going to take our first look at in this out of the box look and build tutorial. You see the process I go through when I purchase an atty that doesn't come with a recommended leg length. The Lostvape UB RBA has a large deck so you can fit some larger coils in it. The only thing I didn't like was that the legs of any coil other than a simple round wire coil will twist. Once you have your legs cut to the length that you prefer and have them caught the rest is simple. So if you got the UB Pro tank with any of the kits then get the RBA and make use of it. Remember though the UB Pro tank does not use standard 810 drip tips. Make sure you fasten the tank down fully unlike I did in this review. Twice this tank dumped e-liquid on me but I have not been able to replicate this so it's a bit of an enigma. The accessories pack is very good as it includes the screw on 510.
