I didn't even know they made a round-butt model 1905. Always learning.
I went through a period where i was fascinated with converting cap-and-ball revolvers to fire cartridges.
Things don't always go to plan. Sometimes that's a good thing.
This is not the new S&W model, it's what I have done to mine well before that was introduced. No, they didn't copy me, lol.
The Hawes Western marshal was made by J.P.Sauer and Sohn in Germany, and was one of the early Colt 1873 clones beefed up to fire .44 Magnum and other calibers. This is one I modified as a sidearm for hunting trips.
