Factions of the Left12:04
Factions of the Left

In the United States we have two political parties, the Democrats and the Republicans, who broadly stand on Liberal and Conservative positions respectively, Left-wing and Right-wing. But because America does not have a multi-party system, Conservatism and Republicanism (along with Liberalism and Democratism) are big tent titles used by various factions of American politics to define themselves, and this can range widely, from isolationists to interventionists, from social conservatives to fiscal conservatives. In today's politics video, and as a follow up to our video on the Factions of American Conservatism, we will analyze and explain the various factions of American Liberalism or the American Left-Wing, specifically the most politically active and mainstream member factions of the Democrat party. Our pal, Carson Wolf, will be covering part two of this video over on his channel. 🐺Part Two: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGWsZpvEhwc 👕Merch Store: https://us-of-z-shop.creator-spring.com/ 📘Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/people/Monsieur-Z/100086678611994/ 🎖️Join this channel to get access to perks: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQR_kmeb0lBEk1Zj_9LWDHA/join 🕓New history, alternate history, politics, or geopolitics videos every weekend at 12:00 PM EST 🌴Our Socials: https://linktr.ee/monsieurdean 🌎Website: https://www.USofZ.com/feed ✴️ Fan Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/MrZ_Official/ 0:00 Intro to the Factions of the American Left 1:02 Social Liberals 3:10 The Progressive Left 5:21 Neo-Liberals 6:58 Blue Dogs 8:09 The BIPOC Left 10:17 The Green Left 11:30 Part Two #politics #democrats #election

The Strenuous Life | An Appeal to Modernity02:59
The Strenuous Life | An Appeal to Modernity

In 1899 then future-president Theodore Roosevelt gave his Strenuous Life speech in the city of Chicago. In this relatively short speech, Roosevelt spoke strongly on many important issues relating to personal strength, the bond between community and individual identity, manhood, womanhood, responsibility, the country's future (new nationalism), and much more. Very interestingly, Teddy Roosevelt spoke on a type of encroaching modernity that was threatening to make American's weak, complacent, and embracers of what he called ignoble ease. In this short excerpt reading of Roosevelt's speech, we share with you some of these issues and policies Roosevelt spoke on, and how they still ring true and important today in the modern world. 🎖️Join this channel to get access to perks: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQR_kmeb0lBEk1Zj_9LWDHA/join 🕓New history, alternate history, politics, or geopolitics videos every weekend at 12:00 PM EST 🌴Our Socials: https://linktr.ee/monsieurdean 🌎Website: https://www.USofZ.com/feed 0:00 Intro #

Thanks to Established Titles for sponsoring today's video. Established Titles is now running a great Labor Day Sale, plus get an additional 10% off on any purchase with code MONSIEUR. Go to https://establishedtitles.com/MONSIEUR and help support the channel. It's been a long time since we've done one of these, but hey, ideologies explained is finally back. Today we explore the meaning and facets of the ideology known as Corporatism (not to be confused with Corporatocracy). We'll briefly cover its origins and history, along with what this philosophy stands for and promotes. This is the ideology of Corporatism Explained, or Understanding Corporatism, depending on whether you read the title or thumbnail first. Wow, it's really been years since we first made that original Fascism Explained video. That's nuts. Well, if this performs well we might make this a regular series. Maybe we'll run out of ideologies to cover and start inventing some. We'll have some more alternate history next week, probably. Are you still here? There's no alternate history hiding down here. You'll have to wait until next week. _____________________________________________ #MonsieurZ #history #politics New Videos Every Saturday At 11:00 AM EST ______________________________________________ Our Socials: https://linktr.ee/monsieurdean ______________________________________________ Website: https://www.USofZ.com/feed ______________________________________________ Music Used:

Are Colleges Turning Red States Blue?07:42
Are Colleges Turning Red States Blue?

Reserve your spot at the New York Populist Summit: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/new-york-populist-summit-co-hosted-by-new-york-young-republican-club-tickets-336221877687?aff=ebdssbdestsearch Across America there is a consistent trend of college towns, despite most being extremely distinct from traditionally Democrat dominated cities and coastal communities, demonstrating far more left-leaning political and cultural behaviors than surrounding Republican areas. In fact, you might find an extensive sea of red counties within a largely red state, only for a blue spot to turn up, far away from any coast or city, right in the middle of the state. Why is this? Are college towns contributing to the Democratic colonization of Republican states? And are colleges turning red states blue? We'll be looking at trends and statistics in relation to moving, voting, and more to paint a clearer picture of what impact left-wing institutions like liberal universities are having on red states and conservative communities in the short and long term. The Colonization Of Red States: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bkv0D8dIc_w There is a clear struggle for political power in the United States between Democrats and Republicans that rises in tension election after election. In terms of counties and landmass, the Republicans have carried an overwhelming advantage through their presence in Rural America and the Suburbs, but recent changes in culture, economics, technology, and policy are, and will continue to change that at an ever increasing pace. This is how the majority Democrat cities will spread out, and ultimately conquer and colonize the surrounding Red Republican states, suggesting that it will become harder for Republicans and Rural Conservatives to win elections in the future, perhaps not as soon as the 2022 midterms, or even the 2024 Presidential election, but potentially not long after that. Why The Republicans Would Lose A Second Civil War: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IzNEfSucw5Q As a follow up to my video on What If Civil War Broke Out Between Republicans and Democrats where we explained who would win, how either side could win, and the long term outcome of a Second Civil War, we've come to the conclusion, based on recent events, that the Republicans or American Right Wing would be at a major disadvantage if war were to ever break out in the United States of America. _____________________________________________ #Politics #MonsieurZ #College New Videos Every Saturday At 11:00 AM EST ______________________________________________ Donate on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/monsieurz Become a Channel Donor: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQR_kmeb0lBEk1Zj_9LWDHA/join ______________________________________________ Website: https://www.USofZ.com/feed ______________________________________________ Music Used:

A Demographic Crisis Is Inevitable07:25
A Demographic Crisis Is Inevitable

Around the world, fertility rates are in decline. It's not just first-world Western countries experiencing this population collapse and demographic crisis, but just about every country on the planet. The implications of so significant a population loss in a time of high production, high demand, interconnectivity, and competition are dramatic, and will utterly reshape the geopolitical landscape of the globe, but only after a long period of shortage, inflation, supply-chain collapse, strife, and more, all of which is sure to reshape the social and societal order that we know likely within most of our lifetimes. A Demographic Crisis is inevitable. _____________________________________________ #Geopolitics #MonsieurZ #Demographics New Videos Every Saturday At 11:00 AM EST ______________________________________________ Donate on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/monsieurz Become a Channel Donor: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQR_kmeb0lBEk1Zj_9LWDHA/join ______________________________________________ Website: https://www.USofZ.com/feed ______________________________________________ Music Used:

The American Caesar Hypothesis04:50
The American Caesar Hypothesis

Amid discussions of the many troubles facing the United States, from political polarization, to economic crisis, to diminishing confidence in the government, many are still considering the possibility that the United States may collapse or face a second civil war. More recently has emerged the idea of an American Caesar, a political or military strong man that will seize control of the United States, and stabilize it before it sees a total collapse. But how realistic is this theory, and might there be more to the parallels between Rome and America? Just how close is the US to seeing the kind of conditions that would give rise to a Caesar-esque figure? This is the American Caesar Hypothesis. _____________________________________________ #USPolitics #MonsieurZ #AmericanCaesar New Videos Every Saturday At 11:00 AM EST ______________________________________________ Donate on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/monsieurz Become a Channel Donor: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQR_kmeb0lBEk1Zj_9LWDHA/join ______________________________________________ Website: https://www.USofZ.com/feed ______________________________________________ Music Used: Journey to the Past

Protectionism | The American Ideal | Politics03:15
Protectionism | The American Ideal | Politics
3 years ago

Most American politicians today, both Republican and Democrat, have used the concepts of American freedom and capitalism to justify a policy of free trade. What is free trade, and how does it effect the United States, you might ask. Simply, it is trade between nations with little if any restrictions in place; in capitalist argument, it is the natural progression of the free market beyond the limits of the state. It is, however, a tremendous folly taken on the part of the US, whose economy is not suited for the system of free trade. What is the alternative to free trade then? The system under which America's economy has grown most prosperous and powerful, Protectionism. What is Protectionism? As the name suggests, protectionism emphasizes the protecting of domestic industry, agriculture, and business, while subjecting foreign imports to heavy tariffs and regulations to ensure they cannot outcompete local businesses. Protectionism means more (and better paying) local jobs, more American made products, and more self sufficiency for the United States and its citizens. This is Protectionism, the American ideal. _____________________________________________ #AlternateHistory #MonsieurZ #Protectionism New Videos Every Wednesday At 2:30 PM EST ______________________________________________ Donate on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/monsieurz Become a Channel Donor: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQR_kmeb0lBEk1Zj_9LWDHA/join ______________________________________________ Website: https://www.USofZ.com/feed ______________________________________________ Music Used:

New York Should Be Partitioned | Politics06:37
New York Should Be Partitioned | Politics
3 years ago

New York is one of the most politically polarized and economically divided states in the country, seemingly contested between those from NYC and those belonging to the more rural North. After years of lacking cooperation, and general domination by Downstate politicians, is it time for Upstate New York to consider becoming its own state? Is creating a new state out of an old state even a reasonable option? Or might there be an alternative that allows Upstate and Downstate New York to continue existing within the same state, but under different governments? Long term, some compromise must be reached, or both sides, rural and urban, North and South, Republican and Democrat, will find themselves in a worse situation the longer this divide continues. Should New York be partitioned? Or is there another option? _____________________________________________ #AlternateHistory #MonsieurZ #NewYork New Videos Every Wednesday At 2:30 PM EST ______________________________________________ Donate on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/monsieurz Become a Channel Donor: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQR_kmeb0lBEk1Zj_9LWDHA/join ______________________________________________ Website: https://www.USofZ.com/feed ______________________________________________ Music Used: Glacier

The Case That Crippled Rural America | Politics04:11
The Case That Crippled Rural America | Politics
3 years ago

America has had a long history of compromise and balance to ensure the function of its political machinery, and especially to keep its citizens satisfied with their government. The Great Compromise first reached as a stepping stone to the adoption of the Constitution provided us with a bicameral legislature of proportional representation in the House of Representatives, and equal representation in the Senate. One house determined by population, the other set in stone to assure every state, no matter how small, has a voice in politics. This same system was adopted by many state governments, who provided each of their counties, regardless of their size, the representation of a state senator, however, the landmark Supreme Court Case of Reynolds v Sims utterly changed that, forcing states to adopt redistricting policies which reorganized senatorial districts to have equal populations, the result of which saw power in several state legislature shift away from the various communities of the state, and go directly to the biggest cities, whose large populations afforded them several state senators in comparison to the few held by the amalgamated counties of the remaining state. This is the case that crippled rural America. _____________________________________________ #AlternateHistory #MonsieurZ #Elections New Videos Every Wednesday At 2:30 PM EST ______________________________________________ Donate on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/monsieurz Become a Channel Donor: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQR_kmeb0lBEk1Zj_9LWDHA/join ______________________________________________ Website: https://www.USofZ.com/feed ______________________________________________ Music Used: Glacier

What if the United State abolished the Two Party system, as well as the Winner-Take-All, First-Past-The-Post, Majority system, and replaced it with a Proportional Representation Multi Party System? What would this breaking of the political Duopoly mean for the country? How many parties would form from the several factions which make up the Democrat and Republican coalitions?
