SVALBARD MAUSER K98kF1

🇬🇧 One of the places where it is mandatory to carry a gun is the Svalbard archipelago. The reason is that meeting a polar bear is always an option when you leave the house. When I was there in the year 2015 I went to a sports shop and rented this pretty Mauser K98kF1. After WW2 there were more than 200K Mauser rifles left. And Norwegians decided to use them with a few changes. They changed the caliber for 30-06 Spr. (marked 7.62 on the rifle) and also a new serial number with the word HÆR which means army. Notice also the notch under marking 41 which is necessary when you want to retain feed the stripper clip-feeding option with a new longer caliber. 🇨🇿 Jedním z míst, kde je povinné nosit zbraň, je souostroví Svalbard. Důvodem je, možnost setkání s polárním medvědem kdykoliv kdy opustíte svůj dům. Když jsem tam byl v roce 2015, šel jsem do Loveckého obchodu a pronajal jsem si tento pěkný Mauser K98kF1. Po 2. světové válce zbylo v Norsku více než 200 tisíc pušek Mauser. A Norové se je rozhodli s několika změnami použít. Změnili ráži na 30-06 Spr. (na pušce označeno 7.62) a také sériové číslo se slovem HÆR, což znamená armáda. Všimněte si také zářezu pod označením 41, který byl nutný pro zachování funkce nabíjení z nabíjecího pásku s novou delší ráží. Staré značení je stále přítomno, ale je pouze přeškrtnuté.
