We needed a new extending dog lead, one that offered a good run free length and that was strong enough to hold two pulling dogs when attached to a separate twin leash. I paid £7.99 for this German made lead from Flexi some while back. It is now priced at £12.40, reduced apparently from £23, so is still well priced. The lead extends up to 5m in length and is claimed to be suitable for a dog with a pull weight of up to 50kg. The lead is available in four sizes to suit different types of dogs, and mine is the largest. The lead has a easy to engage one handed locking system - push and lock the button - to set the lead to the length you need. It uses a tape cord rather than a string, which I think is stronger and less likely to tangle. It has an accessory slot to allow an LED light and a poobag holder to be fitted, both available from Flexi. After several months of use, it is still going strong. Blenheim, our whippet, has so far failed to chew through it as he has with others, and the lead has never twisted around itself and got stuck inside the mechanism, again as has happened with other leads. The logo and printing have rubbed off somewhat over time, but who cares about that? This is a decent quality, budget priced, heavy duty retractable lead that works well and without any issues for the reduced price, if not the full price, it is a good buy. Inside the box, aside from the projector itself, was a full sized remote control, a power cable with UK plug, and an English language User Guide. Build quality is above average for the price. The plastic casing of the projector feels well made and robust. Nothing feels flimsy or about to fall off or break. The power cable is heavy duty with a standard UK plug. The User Guide is well written and tells or you pretty much all you need to know. The infrared remote control is full-sized with proper physical clicky buttons. It has all the basic ports and connections: HDMI, USB, and audio out. Take note that there are no physical buttons or controls on the projector, setup and image control are done using the handset. For the budget price, this projector has some impressive stats: Native Resolution: 1280 x 720 downscaling built in for 4K and 1080p. The contrast ratio is 1500:1, brightness a remarkable 5000 Lumens (130 ANSI lumens), The best projection distance is 40-130 inches to give an image size of up to 130 inches. Focus is performed manually using the large dial on the front, with vertical ±30° Keystone correction being automatic and seamless. The image can be zoomed manually to fit the available screen size, and the projector physically tilted forwards and back 220°. To operate, you use the supplied remote control, there are no controls on the projector itself. I use it with an Amazon Firestick connected to the HDMI port, but external drives and other devices can be connected via USB. The projector connects to your home wifi network to stream to the internet to the preinstalled apps, whilst allowing tablets and smartphones to connect to the projector for video and audio casting. The Projector can also connect to your home wifi network for firmware updates and to install apps from the Google Play Store. An external speaker or headset can be connected to the audio port or over Bluetooth. I found it gave a good, bright, well-saturated image at around the maximum recommended throw distance of 130 inches with a stable focus and good keystone stability when used in a darkened room. The image can also be zoomed in and out to get the best picture size. Audio quality was OK for the size, but for outside use, an external speaker will be needed connected to the audio out port or using Bluetooth. The budget range price gets you some very decent features, but if you are after a projector for professional use then keep on looking. The light output is fine for home use but works best in a darkened or semi-darkened room. The image quality is clear and sharp without too much fringing, and it holds focus well. The colours are good but less saturated than you would find on a pro level projector. The native 720p resolution will be fine for use in the kid's bedroom or for temporary use, but not in the home theatre. The sound from the built-in speaker output is OK, but for anything other than small rooms, an external speaker will be needed, and there is an audio out port to allow for this. Those in search of a good quality entry-level projector with decent image quality and with support for all the basic functions may find what they need here. For most new home theatre owners with a small to medium sized projection room, this would be very well suited. If you want an autofocus unit with perfect colour fidelity for professional use in an undarkened room and with a huge image, then this one is not for you and you can expect to pay very much more to find it. This is a good entry level device with excellent image quality and a good range of features. It is priced far below high-end professional projectors, but it is by no means a budget device as regards its capabilities. It punches a good deal above its weight with build quality and design that make it a great buy at a very affordable price. I paid ￡29.63, but you may pay less or more. I was surprised at how small the box was that held so much, but over at AliExpress, they are masters of packing to keep shipping costs down. The set consisted of the following boxes: x4 6 x 12.3 cm x3. 17.5 x17.5 cm x2 6.8 x19.5 cm x2. 6x12.5 cm x2 6.5x14.5 cm x3. 11x 5.5 cm x8 2oz Pots Each box of the 24 boxes is made from transparent heavy duty PP Plastic (whatever that is) with coloured detailing along the tops and locking flaps. The boxes are waterproof, watertight, microwave, dishwasher and freezer safe. Also included is a set of black sticky wipe clean labels and a white ink marker pen. The build quality is first rate and in several months of use in and out of the freezer, there have been no issues. The only minor criticisms I would make is that there are too many small sized containers, I would rather have had fewer of them in favour of a couple more larger ones. Also, although the labels do not come off once in place, neither does the writing from the included pen, which smears easily but is difficult to remove cleanly. That's it. It is probably best suited to an iPhone user able to make use of the features on offer. In the simple branded product box was the power bank itself, a short USB-A to USB-C charging cable, and a poorly translated but nicely printed User Guide. I enclose a scan of it in my video. The build quality of the power bank seems fine and almost of premium quality. It is small enough at 11.99 x 3 x 2 cm to fit into a trouser pocket and weighing just 200g you would hardly know it was there. The first thing that strikes you about this device is its stylish and upmarket appearance. It has a matt finish to the body with a small circular LED screen on the front. Along the front face are the ports – one Lightning input port, one USB-C PD 20w in/out port, and between them what seems to be a button which serves no purpose I can discern. The ports are not grommet protected, so keep this device out of the rain. It has a capacity of 10,000 mAh, which is not great but enough for at least two charges on even the largest phone. I needed a way to connect up my multiple external USB devices. My old hub was USB-A powered, and I did not want to use an adapter to plug into the USB-C only Mac. I was hoping to find a hub with both USB and USB-C outlets, but I could not find one with enough USB ports which also featured USB-C. So I decided on this one, which has a combined USB 3.0 and USB-C input and 10 USB 3.0 ports. It is externally powered and features switchable backlit ports. No driver software is needed. In the box I received the hub and a 3.3ft cable with a combined USB-C and USB 3.0 plug on one end and a USB-B plug to connect into the hub itself. The hub itself is made from aluminium alloy, and both it and the cable feel robust and well made. Annoyingly, no user guide or information sheet was included. The 10 ports each have an individual power button with a large and very bright blue LED to the side with light spill seeming to illuminate the USB port itself when viewed from certain angles, and due to this, it is sometimes hard to tell if switches are on or off. The supplied UK power adapter is needed for power hungry USB devices but simple data transfers do not need it, and the power cable can be left unplugged. This leads us to a minor issue with the device. When the computer to which it is attached is turned off all the hub LEDs remain lit - and at night this can be very bright indeed - unless the hub is disconnected from mains power. The USB 3.0 hub supports data transfer speeds of up to 5 Gbps, which I presume to mean to each port, which is respectable enough but by no means blazing fast. So that really is it. I have seen cheaper rivals but this one works well, is nicely made and looks good. At the current price of £24.29 it is not a bad buy if you do not mind the always on LEDs.
