3.6 Analytics and Privacy in terms of Data Strategy. How do they fit in the bigger picture?
VoteMany people have heard about business strategy and how it is essential. Fewer people are familiar with data strategy though and how it’s equally essential for any data initiative. I have to admit, before the Spring of 2022, I wasn’t that knowledgeable on this subject. So, I decided to learn about it in a methodical and in-depth way. After some research, I identified a few solid courses and enrolled in one of them. I also got a book on this topic, which I read during this learning phase. I won’t ask you to do the same, but I can share with you some of the key things I learned. After all, data strategy is a framework of sorts that can put all these matters in perspective and help us deal with them in a just and efficient manner. This episode is ideal for business people as well as analytics and privacy professionals who want to learn more about the business side of these fields.
PS - The course and the book are both by a talented data strategist called Bernard Marr. If anyone of you knows him, perhaps you can persuade him to come to this podcast for an interview! If that’s too much to ask, maybe you can persuade him to use this episode as an intro to the subject, a conversation starter of sorts, something that he may wish to promote in his network.
This episode is sponsored by the Data Lit Pro company, which promotes data literacy for professionals across different industries.
