This is a recording of the 2014 world premiere of Tin Pan Alley Tavern. Book conceived and written by Steve Cleberg; new score coming from Kyle Berry. Featuring classic tunes from the "tin pan alley" era.
The year is 1919. The place is New York City, the biggest neighborhood in the world. In this old-fashioned musical comedy, the patron's of the Tin Pan Alley Tavern brace themselves for the impending Prohibition. The lives of the characters intertwine as classic tunes of the "tin pan alley" era serve as their soundtrack. This 2014 production at Somerset Community College in Somerset, Kentucky was the world premiere. This feel-good musical will be available for licesencing in the summer of 2023 through Small World Plays & Musicals.
